shipping took like 1 week if that to Aus.

very well packed.

so far impressed. will post pics when i open it up.

It's been said already but I also would like to know the thread size for the freewheel.

i am also looking at which freewheel will fit, i have tried 2 but no success.
are you using single speed freewheel?

the designe of QS axle looks stronger - especially at the area where the phase wires are going out (there seems to be a larger diameter 10mm flat part).

vito, could you please answer my questions:

P.S.: If you need 3kW 50H V2 type hub motor, you could test 2kW 45H V3 type hub motor.
The performance is alike.

i would like to know the weight of this 45H V3 motor, and does i have smaller dimensions or is it same in size to 50H type?

could you give us more details about what stability improvements you make on 50H motors?

so dont get me wrong. i love the cover of the cro with the pretty bolt-on freewheel mount, but from a practicality point of veiw, its steel in contact with alu so it rusts fast, and its possibly heavier than it needs to be.

im yet to try to mount a frewheel on the qs, or even measure it.

axle is 15.5mm thick with 10.0 mm across flats

the qs feels noticably a little heavier,not much, perhaps 100-200grams. im yet to be able to weigh them.
im suspecting that it could be due to more copper in there,would not be surprised after seeing those phases. unless the cast stator design is a little different between the two .
ill post more picks of the inside when i get a puller...soon i hope

hole sizes are - 3.4mm and 4.2mm
on the small holes 11ga ok, 10ga will need to drill bigger holes

Please open the motor if you're avaiable, then you will notice the difference in design.
E.g. the width and length of magnet, the winding of copper.
Btw., For the phase wire outside of motor, it could be 8mm² or 10mm² (generally 10mm²).

Do you have compact sine wave controller?

Would you have a 48V 6000W motor for 26" wheel bicycle going up to 70km/h with compact sine wave controller and regen? Best would be with variable regen.

Could you measur ethe laminatino thickness of the stator? to know if it is 0.35 or 0.5mm?

so this is what the qs stator looks like

stator lamination look to be identicle thickness for cro and qs, id say 0.3mm thick.

phase wire (winding) thickness for qs, cro ,mxus respectively 0.6mmx24, 0.6mmx18, 0.6mmx15.(strands in each phase)

i hope this is helpful for those looking for serious motors

can't wait to see some performance tests. the QS motor looks quite a bit better than the cro. the copper fill looks to be almost 2x that of the cro! do you or anyone else know exactly how much more copper there is? its hard to believe this is only the 3000w rated motor considering the cro v3 is 6000w rated. if the cro can do 10-15kw peaks or more, im guessing this qs motor will have no problem handling 20+kw peaks! now you just need to find a controller that can run that beast

Once I get enough batteries to feed the amps, I will max out a max-e and see what happens! Got to finish my bike first though...
