Resurrecting an old thread to help other users with the same problem: if I remember correctly, the variable regen only works if you disable electric brake (on/off regen), and you probably also need to program through the pc-usb option (not via Bluetooth). Just play with the various combinations through pc interface. So it’s a software limitation, not a hardware problem. I myself prefer the slide regen + electric brake (on/off brake sensor) btw, because the initial stroke of variable regen actually feels like you are accelerating because slide regen goes to 0 amps before variable regen kicks in. Very scary when you are at high speed and expect to slow down and get the feeling of acceleration. So imho you’re not missing much with variable regen disabled.
