I'm trying to find info on the Greensaver Silicon batteries. It appears they are not used much at all, despite being OEM in the extreme scooters and all the hype on Greensavers web page? Are there any user reviews? Or comparisions to BB's or other quality SLA's? Poop or Scoop??

I was also wondering about the "silicon" batteries. My family mentioned "silicon batteries" in the news paper and asked me about them and I was like, "Beats me. I've never heard of it.". It seems I've never learned more about them than simply their name. I think it might be "hype" considering it seems to be used in cheap goods.

they started out good, but are still suffering from a tarnished reputation do to a bad batch / and counterfeits ..one of their suppliers gave them inferior lead plates and they would literally start to disintegrate within a few months.

i wouldnt mess with them until they reestablish themselves, and realize that the lowest bidder isnt always the best route to take.

I'm owner of two SAP E-Max Scooters that both have guineng silicone batteries with partial failures after 3k and the other after 5k kilometers. It seems they work quite well, also at low temps. (better than lead acid for sure)
I don't trust the chargers from SAP to much, maybe they are half the reason for the failures.
The poor quality you can buy nowadays is probably a result of patent issues lost by guineng which was the original supplier of SAP.
I haven't tested the greensaver batts, because I rebuild one scooter with duct-tape batts for 2300 kilometers so far. A defect in the controller stopped this experiment for a while now, but I already had one broken connector on the duct tape cells.
