i was geting sick of the high speed nose dives when stoping. i was playing around with a pocketbike stearing damper and found a way to mount it. and the results are amazing a half hour of work turned my cheap forks into $$$$$$. worth a try.

Nice. How often do you have to re-tighten the clamp?

Interesting. What kind of bike frame are you running?

the frames allright but the parts where junk. frame works great with juicy 5

But uh, doesn't that do the opposite of what you want? Steering dampers prevent jarring hits from turning the forks on a motorcycle while still allowing moderate sustained pressure (from the rider) to turn them. So that should like.. still allow brake dive, while preventing the absorption of bumps. Or something.

thay allow slow traval, high speed travel is slowed down by the damper. internal valve and oil. at low speed the fork feels the same.
i took it for a spin last nite the faster you go the more stable the ride.

Where'd you get the pocket bike steering damper?

well there kinda rude when it comes to warrantys. and there service stinks heres the link-> http://www.tsunamibike.com/page/page/2147873.htm

i picked up a 48v charger off them and it fried the first hour i used it. opened it to find it was used and repaired before. i paid for a resale so i cant recommend them.
