The 26" rear tire on my Currie eZip Trailz is going to need replacing and I was wondering which makes or types other folks are happy with. The bike has about 1000 miles and is used on flat roads that may be wet at times from sprinklers or rain. There's no inclines, hills or rough terrain to worry about - just the FL heat and water issues, plus the weight of the bike & SLA batteries. Thanks

Anything made by schwabe is a good starting point.

If you want to save some money you can look at holy rollers etc.

You will find plenty of material on this site if you research about tire selection.

Also check on the story of the subject here www.electricbike.com/tires/

I use this tire combo exclusively - Maxxis Hookworms, Kenda 2.25mm DH tubes, and panaracer soft kevlar liners. Works best on wider rims. Knock on wood, no flats since I started in 2007, hope that luck persists.

I personally use Schwalbe marathon 26 x 2.0 tires on my ebike and i have yet to get a puncture on them.

After a lot of use they still look like there not wearing much at all.

I think these and variants of them with more puncture protection are ideal for road use ebikes there very durable with good grip on roads and roll great when pumped up to 60psi.

If you want more comfort I would go with something like a Schwalbe big apple. Something I am considering trying out some day on my bike when these tires wear out.

Thanks - I was considering the schwalbe Fat Apple, schwalbe Marathon, or the Maxxis Holy Roller. Seems like any of them should be okay for me. Do any of these seem better on wet roads? With Florida's rainy season soon approaching I'd like the tire to handle well even if the roads are wet from a rain shower.
