Torque dropout when pedaling hard: Grin eZee w/ CA3 and Fischer AG Torque sensor.

The title says it: when I stand on the pedals really hard I get torque dropouts, even when spinning 80+ RPM. I've gone through the manual and user guide and haven't found any clues as to a solution.

Anyone have any ideas?

It could be a loose connector, but most likely is the torque sensor.

I was hoping otherwise. Looking at the manuals again, it appears that I might be able to watch the sensor output over the serial port. I'll give it a try.

Do the torque settings you have result in demand for more than some other part of the system can supply, leading to 'not supplying', e.g. a dropout?

Your CA3 has a panel of letters to show events where limits are exceeded, amps, etc. Do those trigger?
