Novel Concept, but it sounds like hooey to me. With a single power source (the rider) I think the only reason for 2wd is traction. The extra driveline losses and weight will just slow the bike down.
Also, on the Rokun 2wd motorcycle, because the wheels turn at different speeds through corners, didn't they have do to something to decouple the front and rear drive systems, too keep it from tossing the rider when under power in turns? I wonder if anyone has pedaled this through a steep corner yet.
And was that an aluminum frame they spread the rear triangle on?
