Another nice bike/build! Personally I think all ebikes should have torque sensors, and I don't like the weight of a hubmotor in my rear wheel. Suspension also doesn't like that much weight added to it.
And yeah 'add 30' is basically telling me I'm a youngster, thanks for that I kinda feel way to old for the years tho
My hardtail is a Talon 27.5. Had an XTC 3 before that, wanted to convert that one but a dip in the river and not being able to get the bb out right away ( all other nuts and bolts were removed and dried disassembled ) it meant it got rusted in there so solidly I couldn't get it out even with power tools. So I bought the Talon from marketplace ( not FB Marketplace, but 'marktplaats' a dutch site ).
A G70 fit's nicely on the downtube, even with just two bolts it's very secure ( as I said I had some crashes, never had any battery damage or have the mount even move. I do have an extra 'strap' around the battery and downtube, don't need it but it just makes me feel better. And it looks janky, which I kinda enjoy. I like people on the most expensive bikes being 'slightly annoyed' they are getting passed by something which actually looks like I built it in my shed from Chinese parts. Still happens a lot you know, mtb'ing remains one of those sports some people think should have an 'entrance fee' ( it already has... owning a bike and wanting to ride it ). The downtube itself though, especially at the place you mounted your battery, has quite the dings and scuffs hence me not feeling like I should ride such a configuration.
Ali is the best things since sliced bread.. heck I wouldn't know about PSWPower if I had not first found them on Aliexpress. I also bought my kit from them, their prices and shipping time's are very good. Also been burned, but user error. You get what you pay for, as long as you do your due diligence.
I don't think I have any decent / recent picks of my current bike, I will check tomorrow if I can make a few.
