Turning an e-bike battery into a power box

Adding a cheap lvc board avoids using a janky solution. I’m amazed that with the brainpower of this forum that this is the best solution suggested, and it’s not even a simple one.
Ok I see what you’re saying so this would be mounted before the bms And then a separate out port made? I didn’t know they made these I’ll do some research. I just didn’t want to replace the bms unless I had to. Do you have any you would recommend for this particular use?

😂 something about a winch to pull up fish just seems wrong. Most of the fish I’m after a sub 2 pounds. That reel probably weighs more than the fish 😂
If you need a motor to help pedal a bicycle, it's not that out there to use a motor to reel a fish in. I think the device is meant to make it easier/faster to reel in a lot of line if the fish are very deep.

Yeah I think I’ve seen them used for deep ocean stuff on YouTube. Makes sense when it’s 400ft deep

If there was room in the case, it might be small enough to add it inside. The input to the board would just bypass the BMS, and the output would need to exit out of the case in some way (drill a hole for the two wires to exit, use the unused existing center pins, etc.). If you want to get fancy, get another battery cradle and use mount it with your fishing setup, so you can easily switch it back and forth with the bike.
The link i provided was just an example from google searching it. I don’t know what size it is, but it seemed to adjust to the range you need and good for 30A.
