CRTC resists 10 year long attempt to change regulations to allow broadcasters to knowing lie to the public.

“For 10 years we stalled. We ran out of stalling devices. We finally put it out for consultation and it gets this wonderful twist,” he said, referring to a strong public reaction that suggested the commission was trying to lower news broadcasting standards in Canada.

“Out breaks a storm. Somebody reads into it that we are trying to lower the standard to allow Fox News to blossom,” von Finckenstein said.

Was browsing around and came across this. They have some interesting bike frames and offer electric conversions.
There Bigfoot version of the Ranger Recumbent is actually the bike I am planning my next build around.

If you're planning on more than pedal speeds you should test ride one down a big hill first. The large rake in the fork looks like it leaves precious little trail. I really disliked the short trail on my LWB bike so much that I hacked the headset off and welded it back on with less head angle to lengthen the trail. I understand why they did it for a trail bike for more low speed agility, but I'll take the extra stability at speed on the road instead.

Here's a post that's not very e-bike related, but if anyone here rides downhill bikes and can help me out, it would be awesome.

A DH course is about to open up on a local ski resort. The season won't be long, first snow will probably be in a month or so. I've done some XC and a little freeride biking at a nearby mountain biking park and I really like it. The course looks awesome and I've become interested in trying downhill, so I'm shopping for a DH bike.

Some guy on craigslist is selling a used 2004 giant DH comp, with a 2006 rockshox boxxer race fork, a 2005 manitou swinger in the rear, and Hayes nine hydraulic brakes for $650. There currently aren't a lot of cheap downhill bikes on craigslist in my area and I'm kind of a tightwad, so this bike seems like a decent deal for me. I could probably bargain him down to $450, since he's including a helmet and pads that don't fit me.

If I bought it, didn't like DH biking as much as I thought, and parted it out for sale, do you guys think I could get my money back? Tell me your thoughts!

Wow, only 12 years ago when a guy here wanted vehicles that were:

1) 4 wheeled
2) 4 seaters
3) has trunk space for groceries
4) Is NOT A NEV i.e. highway speed capable.
5) Not a conversion
6) Isn't a myth.

with the clear implication that they really _were_ a myth. Now there are dozens. How times change.
