Vector eBike frame bottom bracket

Hi all,

I purchased a Vector frame from Artur and it was just delivered last week, however when I opened the package I noticed that the bottom bracket that was installed does not rotate smoothly. Has anyone else had this issue or have any recommendations for a remedy?

I have tried contacting Artur already but he has not responded to me.

Any help would be appreciated as I would like to get started on my build as soon as possible.

First try and see if there was any damage while shipping,next if you can and have BB tools try and loosen it a bit.. just a hair tight will cause what youve found.

Mine is the same way. I would care if this was a pedal bike, but it's not, so I don't care .

I would guess that the bearings may have been pounded in with the inner race and they're shot.

The bearings are a piece of shit , i changed it with more expensive bearings . all good now...

Thanks for your replys. I still have yet to hear from Artur. When selling a product he is very quick to respond, but for service... no reply. Go figure.

@beast - the bottom bracket is custom and held on place with a simple snap ring. No bottom bracket thread to loosen.

@Routy - True it isn't designed as a pedal bike but if I get stuck somewhere with a dead battery, a bottom bracket with extra resistance would be devastating.

@lennovich - How did you source better bearings? use the model number on the bearing and contact a local supplier? Also, how is the bottom bracket disassembled?

I assume the snap ring holds everything together, but once the ring is removed were the bearings difficult to pull out?

I have the same issues with rotating the axle.. Bearings are crappy.

I also bought a chainring set which fits, but when rotating it is scratching against the frame.. Will post pictures here.

What size was your chain ring? How many teeth? Also, how many rings are you using?

Yes ive just purchased one , and was looking to see what size chainring fits ....... Plz let me know . I also found if you ask on their facebook page their pretty quick to respond ????

We changedthe frame and using other companies Bb for more then 9 month I guess, there is no bearings from our side.
