Where to buy B&B BP SLA's 12ah+ 12v?

Hi guys,

I'm trying to weigh all my options for batteries. I'm down to either a 9ah 36v Nimh for about $180 or considering using a "better-brand" SLA. I guess B&B is a good SLA brand. Where would I find some and what is a good price? I think if I went SLA i'd want 12AH packs. And it looks like If I go BB it will cost $183.00 shipped from one seller. Is this about average? I also found good mention of "werker" batts, which would cost me 146 shipped. So all these options are fairly close, is it worth $40.00 extra for NIMH?

At that price I'd be better off with the NImH's correct? What are the advantages of SLA over nimh? I've read faster speeds are available on the same V setup?

Yeah, I've had trouble finding BB batteries locally myself. Try Dash Computers in Kansas at 800-844-7620. They have the BP series. Nice guy to talk to there also. They had just started carrying BB batteries a few months ago and he shipped me three at a very reasonable price. I've forgotten exactly how much, but I'm sure it was considerably cheaper than the price you have now.
I was looking for the EB series, but they were high as heck and really really hard to find. So far, the BP series ones seem to be holding up fine.

Werker batteries are stocked at Batteries Plus stores, if there is one nearby you can save on shipping. The 12AHs run around US$35 right now; ask for a discount for a case of 4.
