Duh, of course my observations are being made PER CAPITA. Per capita, the U.S. is doing terribly compared to Europe. But more to the point, the U.S. is in possession of medical expertise and infrastructure that should have made Covid a non-event here. But the main reason Covid is kicking our asses is because 33% of Americans don't believe the virus is real and that idiotic assertion began with Trump!

It isn't unlike the fact that we have lost thousands and thousands of vibrant young men (and women) on the killing fields of the Middle East when we are in possession of military resources that could turn the planet into ... ... talk about waste of potential ...

As for the 50K. It's a low estimate of the tens of thousands of black men (and women) that have been murdered since the official end of Chattel Slavery. Those lynched during Jim Crow and more recently those (unarmed) killed during routine police interactions.

Yes, there are some countries with much lower infection and death totals, but the list above demonstrates just how incorrect your claim is, especially when you consider that the US generally has more health issues...greater %'s of obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc that put americans at greater risk. Blaming Trump for the virus is ridiculous, especially considering that most of the responsibility for actions resides with the states. Then there's the fact that unlike in Japan and Germany, Americans take exception to the government telling them what to do. Basically much of the world got caught with their pants down and took action too late to keep numbers really low.

As soon as I heard that those infected were contagious before showing symptoms as well as those who were asymptomatic, I knew this would get very bad, and took drastic measures for our family long before most governments were acting.

What does the killing of blacks in hate crime murders since the end of slavery have to do with anything? I hope you're not referring to the current race relations problem started up by Obama and then the Dems and leftist media throwing gasoline on it more recently as well as orchestrating much of it behind the scenes as part of the coordinated gang to end the Trump presidency. Notice how all that stuff stopped just before the election. Trump really has done more for blacks than anyone since Lincoln, so they really had to go radical to prevent black voting for him in mass. At least an unprecedented number saw through the liberal smoke screen an voted for Trump anyway. Anyway the 50k pales in comparison to the 19 million black babies murdered, as well as the thousands killed each year by other blacks in Democrat run (I mean improperly run cities since their problems only get worse and worse) cities.
 
After all this buildup, I hope he spends the entire morning of January 20th pardoning himself. Especially for things that people never thought to accuse him of. I just picture you guys going "DOH!"
