I don't know your situation, what exactly wrong in your settingsokay.. and which parameters need to be changed to make the engine run smoothly..?
I have a bike with a Bafang M400 motor and I changed the cassette from 38 teeth to 46 teeth..but with a 46 tooth gear the motor doesn't run smoothly..I read on the internet that I need new firmware...?Thanks..I don't know your situation, what exactly wrong in your settings
Sorry, I can not guess what exactly is wrong. Please buy converter, take screenshot of your parameters and post on this forum. Fortunatelly, for UART systems converter costs only 5$I have a bike with a Bafang M400 motor and I changed the cassette from 38 teeth to 46 teeth..but with a 46 tooth gear the motor doesn't run smoothly..I read on the internet that I need new firmware...?Thanks..

Did you ever end up hearing back? Thanks for getting back on this. I have sent some inquiries to the manufacturer (Frey Bike). I will probably have to wait until the Lunar New Year holidays are over before I hear back.
if i take motor covers off and take photos of everything, can u try to assist me? i dont want to do with out ur consent to try and help. im no longer concerned about warranty of ebike as they are worthless on honoring ther sells, chinese . what can i sayIf construction of your device lets remove cover and take photo of serial numbers without voiding warranty, please do it

I did, but bought a controller from Ado Air20 and integrated it into the Air20 Pro with the H700 hub motor. The only issue is that the connectors for the pedal assist between Ado Air and Air 20pro(and ultra) are different, so I could only have the throttle working, as I didn't want to change the whole assisted pedal mechanism. I integrated it externally, on a box and attached it to the bike.Did you get this to work ? And if so HOW ?????
Hi AndreyFor uart systems you can use usual usb-uart converter. For can systems only besst tool is supported (canable pro will be added in future). Can you send me photo of your motor and connector?
Usually throttle is already available in firmware, but just require hardware trigger connected to specific connector. Sometimes it blocked in settings (by trigger 0% and 100% voltage parameters), in this case you can change this settings.I did, but bought a controller from Ado Air20 and integrated it into the Air20 Pro with the H700 hub motor. The controller from Air20 (non pro version) does not run on a Bafang motor but on a Mi-Vince.
I couldn't find any secondary controllers using CAN BUS protocol with an unlocked firmware.
So, I'm still looking for a way to activate the throttle in the Bafang controller firmware settings with CAN BUS protocol, especially now with the new H730 Hub Motor from Bafang.
@AndreyPr, is that a way to help us with this one? What are your thoughts?
The H700/H730 has an integrated 3-geabox, we would like to add a throttle and unlock the 20KM to drive off-road. It runs on a small Bafang controller Home ADO Air 20 Pro | Ultra
Thank you
Sorry, but for now development is stopped and no support of canable is plannedHi Andrey
I'm a noob to the Bafang eco system but have been following your thread for a while and was quite excited by your project as the chances of acquiring access to a BESST account seem pretty much impossible. In the meantime I was purchasing new parts for a DIY build that I'd been contemplating and researching for a few years.
I recently finished building the bike which is using the Bafang M560 motor and C245 v3 display system that unfortunately has almost all the tuning options greyed out, which is a little disappointing.
I tried to download the IOS version of the Bafang Go plus app but it appears that this version is no longer available, as I was only able to find the original Go app but not the plus version, which to my understanding is more suitable for the C245 v3 bluetooth enabled displays. However I don't think the bluetooth app would have unlocked the greyed out settings even if I'd been successful in finding and downloading it, which leads me to my question.
You mentioned that the Canable Pro USB interface Tool would be supported in the future to mitigate using the Bafang BESST Pro Tool... have you managed to implement this in later versions of your software as the Canable Tool would be a much cheaper (no account required) option of connecting to the system.... Many thanks in advance.
Thanks for getting back to me.Sorry, but for now development is stopped and no support of canable is planned
