Emmo Monster/Daymak Eagel 72v tricycle conversion kit?

Hey y'all!

Ive been riding my bike for the past two years, and one of the modifications id like to make regarding the hardship that is riding in the winter is installing/creating a tricycle conversion kit. I'm a metal fabricator whom has the knowledge to create something custom if necessary, but would much rather something bought if available.

Are there any known trike kits that would work with my frame? If not, do the tires have to be the exact size and rating as the tires it currently has on?

Those things are motor scooters (with pedals!) No kit that I know of would be a fit for it, at least in bicycle world.

The former is much easier to create, but the latter might ride better (however it would probably have to replace your existing fork). Check out Hodala's trike kit dev thread for ideas--it's meant for bicycle but depending on your scooter design and your intended speeds and usages, it might do the job.

For delta you can probably adapt a bicycle type trike kit, but most of them are really crappy designs, as far as usability goes.

I can make more specific suggestions once the goal / reason is known.

Firstly thank you for your suggestions! I'll be sure to give their threads a look when i get the chance.

As for your questions. Delta, and the goal is generally stability. This bike carries enough for me as is, and if anything id look into making a tow-able trailer if that was my intention.

During the winter time, the road conditions here can get pretty tough. I have a Emmo Monster 72v and its regarded as an off-road bike. It does pretty well against snow, but not ice. The goal is so when that time comes ill skid rather than tip over. As of last year every time there was too much ice on the road id take a lyft or uber. It can get pretty costly, so i figured doing something like this would cut costs in the long run.

With a delta, unless you can design it as tiltable (see the old M3E thread by carvin marvin / willow for what might be the best fit for your application), you're going to be limited to a pretty low speed to avoid crashing during non-straigtht maneuvers. HOw fast depends on the wheelbase, width, ride height, CoG, and traction to the ground, etc. Many delta anythings are stuck down around 10-15mph at best, because of stuff like this.

Similar problems can happen with tadpoles too, but the conditions are usually different.

Now have all engineering and stat. approvals for my trike.... it's got a number plate! This is a major milestone for me. The Australian Design Rules are not a walk in the park, and there is no category for Tilting Vehicles... and they defenitely have some work to do on the Electric Vehicle...

AW... with all do respect, I would avoid a tilter configuration - for the very same reason(s) I'd discourage any single track (scooter, bicycle, motorcycle, ect)... a hazardous choice on slippery riding surfaces WO/studded tires. You'll still be laterally loading the tire's contact patches (a requirement to remain upright and balanced on nearly any rig that tilts).

There's lots of threads about tilting trikes on here. It's extremely unlikely that you find a conversion kit for this kind of vehicle though.

Yeah. 3 wheels could improve road grip by 50% but special tires could also provide such a win on ice.

Realistically my route to work is pretty straight outside a few turns which i take slow anyways (regardless of choice its a single lane that gets choked up by traffic often), so i wouldn't mind going slow

As mentioned by neptronix, what kind of "special tires" do you have in mind? Some coworkers have suggested putting chains on the tires, but idk how that would handle at faster speeds.

Again, I really appreciate all the help! I'm currently scoping out the parts and cost of this project to see if its worth it long term.
