Bafang Canable Pro Master - discussion

As for throttle trigger did we have CAN info about it ?
I don't know a frame that carries the throttle signal. But we can send it with the debug frame of the open firmware easily :cool:
Perhaps we can add the four data fields to the live data in the controller tab. Signed 16bit.

I didn't upload any different FW, the original one is still there. Now I set these values... the motor doesn't provide any assistance in any PAS mode. Only in walk mode the motor grumbles and jerks, but it doesn't turn the wheel or pedals, it just twitches.

o finally I bought a new controller module and everything is fine! I am sending the current data from a functioning Bafang M510 for those who have the same problem. The data was read using the program bafang_canable_pro-1.9...

I would also like to ask, because I have had bad experiences in the past... I want to change the following items in the "Controller setting" menu - Throttle Start Voltage to 0.9 V, Throttle Max Voltage to 3.0 V, Speed limit to 45 km/h and Walk assist Speed to 6.00 km/h. Can I make all the changes at once? Will the controller not get blocked? Thank you for your experiences.

Apologies if it's in some documentation somewhere but what's the difference between assist (full) and assist (ltd)?

Friends, I need your help. I changed the speed to 35 km/h, but after that, the motor no longer turns on. The display lights up, switches between 1 and 5 speeds, and shows error 8. What should I do next? Fischer e-bike, Bafang M200 motor.
Controller Hardware version :CR X210.350.FC 1.0. Software version CRX210C3616E101004.2
PS: I just noticed that when I turn on the display, the headlight turns on immediately. Automatic switching is disabled in the settings. I think something happened to the controller firmware.

I have a bafang bbs02 CAN with a ekd01 screen that will not go past 25km/h 450w up hill regardless of what I try or do?

I have tried plus and minus I can switch between limited unlimited.
I have used canable to change speed nothing?
Changing amps does nothing?
Canable software says my display mode is boost but boost is off?

Following up on @stancecoke's post about the torque-cal button not giving feedback (#331) — I'm in a similar spot and curious if anyone has insight.

I picked up a broken e-bike with a Bafang M400 (CAN, firmware CRX10BC3615E101002.3, DP C07.CAN display). Previous owner had Error 8 — traced it to the torque sensor, replaced it, error gone. New sensor reads cleanly on CAN (values change with pedal force).

The bike works and assist engages immediately when I pedal. But the top end feels weak — I have to push quite hard the whole time and hills make me sweat more than I'd expect (especially compared to my Ecoride Ambassador which is like a moped). Is this just how this M400 / CRX10B is tuned from the factory, or am I missing something?

What I've checked with the tool:
  • Position-sensor calibration works (motor spins)
  • Torque-sensor calibrate sends 0x05106101, no ack — but symptom isn't really a zero-offset issue anyway, sensor responds proportionally to force
  • Parameter2 (torque profiles / assist curve) reads back all zeros
  • Parameter0 and startup-angle reads time out
Looks like the assist curve isn't exposed on this OEM variant.

I'm considering renting a BESST tool (quite expensive)— has anyone with a similar CRX10B confirmed BESST actually exposes the assist-curve parameters on this firmware, and can change the feel? Or is it locked regardless of tool?

Last rls v2.1 with:
  • Data backup and restore to/from file
  • 11s battery
  • Bug fixes
I have been trying to solve why my motor is limited to 20km/h most I use is around 450w in my 750w bbs02 CANbus

The only thing that has change it is if I change a setting in your tool to produce a 6011 checksum error for example I change motor type to 2 and click save resync I now get a 6011 checksum error, now suddenly my throttle is over 30km/h plus?

My display and your tool state my limit is 99km/h I have a ekd01 display but I can never ride more then 20-25km/h unless I save with 6011 checksum error which I don't know I should be doing?

I have the fw for my motor and have used your tool to flash it and it successfully flashes but I doesn't change the speed limit? I have been back and forwards with varstorm about this issue with no fix?

When changing the speed limit via canable, you must also change the parameters: wheel diameter and circumference.

I have a similar problem with my 750W BBS02B with a DPC010 display on my recumbent trike. But my PAS works fine in all modes. My problem is I cannot get the throttle to go over 10mph no matter if I change setting in the display or thru the Goapp. I am about to swap out for a TongSheng TSDZ8 which is uart.

I have a different display on the way will see if that changes anything.

So far nothing has worked from changing anything on display and in canable.

I only once have had it during 6011 checksum error for a odd reason work unlimited speed but unfortunately the change did not presits after power cycle.

And as much as I know some stuff the sniffer and debug tabs are a different world to me 😂 I'm assuming it's the controller but yet to see will switch to uart if new display does nothing.

If any one has any idea like @mdi about what I should be looking for inside sniffer and debug windows that would be great.

The sniffer and debug function helps nothing, if the Bafang firmware doesn't allow any changes of the parameters.
Is it known, which processor is working in this BBS02B controllers? Is an original Bafang firmware file available? Then I can check it myself.

I have the original fw supplies by bafang/vendor that sold me the motor if that helps? Majority of settings upon being changed lead to checksum error I also cannot connect my phone to the varstorm debug app, windows complains about ekd01 display device descriptor request failed.

Thank you for sharing! This are good news, this firmware is for a STM32 (Clone). It's for the well known Bootloader 38. So it will be not very much work to get the EBiCS OSF running on the CAN BBS02B :cool:

Lol what do I do with my 1000w uart controller I just purchased. All well that's cool. Thank you so much mate your a true legend I owe you a drink! And thank you for the pics gives a bit of a idea of whats to be looked for.

Could it be that the new firmware of Bafang is locked ? I can't change anything but i get the ACK from the Controller

Firmware F801032.4
WRITE_LONG_P1:{
...
"system_voltage":43
}

response:

{"type":"normal_ack","source":2,"cmdCode":96,"subCode":17}

So far I have been able to change:
speed limit
Wheel diameter
Battery voltage
Amps

Everything else within controller tab of canable has resulted with 6011 checksum error beyond that I'm clueless except for assumptions which has lead to something within the controller/fw has been restricting my speed/watts regardless of what display or canable state.

Like I said before I was messing around a little bit with canable and I definitely during a brief moment between power cycles and while getting 6011 checksum error and was definitely hitting 35km/h plus on throttle and pas but once bike powered down I lost that?

I think I was messing around with motor type at the time since then I have not been able to reproduce the event.

Not really sure as to what to look for or try im willing to sacrifice the controller trying 😂

I can only edit speed limit data, and all other data is uneditable.
