Acid test - Mountain Climb- 3220 motor hv160

i believe there are some quiet running fans around. And with the pretty loud drive that astro is delivering [well comparing to hub motors], i am not too concerned about the extra fan noise. But with my experience of fan blowing directly on the motor, i am sure this will be VERY efficient method of cooling it.
An option would be to put a temp sensor and make the fan only start when the motor hits a certain temperature

I been eyeballing these....I'll let you be creative on applications

Hey great find there! Under 9 watts? Your battery would not even know it was there!

What are you guys doing with all the burned up 3220's? I have way too many irons in the fire, but what the hey... I talked to Matt about the "power dense" motor approach that Lincoln electric used with respect to internal oil cooling.

Would be nice to get hands on a 3220 core... one that the magnets have not been taken to the curie temperature on.

yes but you have to look also how much cooling fan gives.

I found this one, louder and taking more energy but extremely powerful and real cooling!!!

maybe too powerful

EDIT
THEY HAVE GREAT FILTERS FOR COMPACT FANS:

Fan filter guard grilles

Filter capacity
A fan filter guard filters out up to 75% of dust particles up to a size of 5-10 microns and withstands temperatures of up to 100°C. Flame retardant in accordance with DIN 53438, grade F1. For installed, clean filters, an air flow reduction of 20 – 30% can be assumed.
