Aussie Role Call

I got a heap of AJ's connectors too, but I'm about as far away from you as he is. Not to worry, if you're ever in the Mt Hawthorne / Tuart Hill region let me know and you can drop in.

Thanks guys.

But I would need to get my passport stamped to go north of the river...do you even have the same gauge rail up there?
Actually AussieJester, I think I read you are in Kalamunda, would love to try make it there from Freo once I get going, I guess I would need the 20AH for that on 48V

lol, connectors all arrived yesterday.
Cheers

Hi John, I'm around the Sandgate area, not too many in Brisbane me thinks not like the WA guys. Have tried to get a Brissy ride but I think we are all spread over.

Just a quick post to let Aussies know i have a heap of 200watt

from time to time  Hit me up if your in need
i will trust buyers they are using these only on their

It's Li-PO and you will need to add freight to that. Also, it's straight from China :)

I bought a kit from them and it was OK. Main problems I had was with freight company and customs. Jason sorted out all of the issues even though he wasn't to blame. YMMV.

Hi all
New guy checking in.

I'm Manny and am based in Sydney! I've been lurking the forums pretty hard for the past week trying to soak up as much as possible. I only recently caught wind that hub motors even existed and straight away got lucky with a 48v 1000w rear hub kit some guy was selling on gumtree for $150. Didn't fit his bike and I couldn't resist 50% off. Since then I've been replacing grips, cables and pads etc on my long neglected bike. Thinking of setting it up so the batteries are in a backpack for discretion and theft security.

I've ordered a 48v10ah LiFePO4 from BMSbattery and plan to get another when I can afford it. My biggest regret is not understanding that "5-8" in the shipping section probably meant 5-8 WEEKS. I should've spent that money on locally available LiPo hobby packs and just risked catching fire because this wait is going to be way more painful.

Ive seen them constantly appear on ebay too for crazy cheap bids = $500 but the sellers keep closing their accounts. so looks scammy.

Looks good! Do you import them fully assembled directly from China or is there tinkering involved? Any issues with reliability thus far?

Once upon a time, Tony Abbot said nice things about bicycles. I want that Tony Abbot back...

He still rides regularly, I'm sure if questioned he's sta..... Wait who I'm I kidding he would initiate a bicycle buy back and burn program if it meant more votes lol.

I actually built a 2000w kit for Mr Abbott. I guess he won't be emailing me any more now that he's PM.
He did say that the power of the motor offests the aerodynamic drag caused by his ears quite nicely
