A new item over at Staton-inc:
BIMOTO MODIFIED Free Wheeling CRANK MECHANISM

Its a double freewheel crank drive.

Advantages:
1) Two bearings during motor use, a regular bearing in one of the freewheels and a cartridge bearing under the motor drive sprocket. This makes for a wide distribution of load.

2) The motor drive chain only turns during motor use.

Disadvantages: (maybe)
1) Seems wide and might be awkward for pedaling?

2) Price: $249

Yes, I think this is a very good and best-of-its-kind implementation and deserves its own thread. It also belongs in the resource thread along with the other similar items. My third post was a link to the information in a thread where it was a pertinent solution.

Do you think my reasons are without merit?

I wouldn't have looked at it in the resources thread, but I found it here. :)

No, I think your postings start to look more like spam than information. One good post is all you need.

I missed other threads about this... it's awfully pretty. Thanks for the image up front/in our faces/whatever

indeed, i just found it - it's not spamming, it's useful.
