Charging connector advice - under 60V and 1-2A

Hello friends, I'd like a quick advice. I've been using for the last 12 years Andreson connectors for my battery charging port. On the inverter and low power (headlights, USB chargers, etc) I migrated from Andresons to XT90 and XT30 respectively, as the old ones were falling apart and these looked OK.

My question would be, now that I should change the battery charging port connectors (which are old and have bad contact) what should I move to? I don't particularly dislike the Andresons, but they feel a bit flimsy, I'd like a bit stronger contact. However, the XT series (90/30/60) seem way too tight and perhaps not apropriate to do/undo every other day for charging. What else is there, some aviation connector like this one perhaps, or....'

Anderson powerpoles wear out. The leaf spring can lose tension, the little mating hooks then do not mate as tightly as they once did, and the plastic of the housings is not particularly strong to begin with.

I've cut off several that were worn and loose and replaced them.

I also enjoy the XT 60 and 90's, and have some 90's I connect and disconnect a few times a day, and they have become far easier to mate and de mate. I enjoy the antispark qualities of the XT90s.

One nice thing about XT connectors that I don't see talked about much is they are easy to adjust, if you want them looser just squeeze the pins with some needle nose pliers, if you want them tighter push a pick into the center to bend them out slightly. There is a limit to how much looser you can make them due to spring back.

Also I would rather have a connector that is a little tight than loose. If it's tight you can improve the manipulation of it by adding grips or pull loops. It would be nice if there were versions of XT connectors more designed like this, for better grip rather than as small and light as possible.

Anderson PP, XT90, XT60 seem like overkill for the (low) amperage you are subjecting them to.

At 1-2A, the ubiquitous 5.5mm barrel connectors (DC5521/5525 shown below) or even DC XIAOMI are commonly used reliably. I have been successfully using both for many years, with my 2A and 3A chargers. No sign of high temperatures, arcing, or other degradation at all.

I have been using the DC5.525 for years at up to 10 amps, but generally at 5 amps or less.

I use no less than 16awg and use a 10 amp inline fuse rated for 58vdc
