why? I believe even the op has the freedom to choose the equipment for the job. The geared hub isn’t it since it can’t shed heat. BBSHD is capable, as long as you’re ok going 10mph up a steeper hill. It’s the right choice, if that’s what you want. The speed at which you climb is directly related to the power you’re using, so if you want to climb faster, then you choose different equipment. It’s not even a hub vs mid drive thing. If you want a bike to perform more like a pedal bike, then slowing way down got a hill makes a lot of sense, if that’s what you want from an ebike. I’m not sure that’s what the op wants though.Bbshd is only 30 amps your hub is 80 volts and 80 amps not something to compare to a low voltage mid drive.
