Configuration/placement tips for Nyko Kama/Wiiceiver?

I have one of Torgueboards kits and really digging but the Nyko Kama just drops a bit too much for building confidence to ride faster.

I even have it on the outside of the enclosure.

What have people done to make it more reliable? Interference issues with motor wires? Wrapping it? or just placement?

Someone on here was saying they got it to never drop? Really?

There's a 4 pin by the Nyko Kama Receiver port which you can add a 4 pin connector and a Nunchucky to it. You try adding a 12" to 20" extension and route the Nyko Kama receiver on the top of the deck.

Try to keep the Nyko Kama receiver and esc signal wires away from other wires as they can cause interference.

I'd also put a ferrite ring around all esc signal wires.

The issues seem to come from the Nyko Kama and it's receiver.

I got it going pretty well today.

I had the wiiceiver outside the enclosure but the ferrite ring was inside. When I moved the ring outside then very few drops... Plus read in a previous thread about keeping the NK moving so it doesn't time out. Those two together really did the trick.

The nunchucky extension sounds promising for packing it inside. Thanks!

My first day EVER using cruise control. Damn it works really well.

For a week I was free sticking the throttle. Glad that is over

I've been using my Wiiceiver for quite a while and it's been really good. One more tip from me:

Try and make sure the USB dongle stays secure on the Wiiceiver. Mine wriggled loose once and the ESC shoved reverse on for me :lol: My temporary solution was an elastic band length ways.

It was pretty funny, but could've been quite bad. Yes, I did have to run after my board like it was a badly behaved dog :lol:

I've had that happen before in a heavily populated area, but going forward :? Luckily there were no cars or people in the way. I'm more careful now in that area as it seems to loose connectivity in the same place.
