Cheers

Excuse the nasty photo (was in a rush) but hey, at least the non Type R Overlanders are seemingly in the wild - mine arrived yesterday. Shipped early last week.

It's a shame my use case for this bike no longer exists but that's what happens when the bike is nearly 2 years late haha.

It is a nice bike but haven't given it a proper once over yet, need to set the bike up properly and take it for a decent ride but work has other plans at the moment.

Visually I have no idea how one is supposed to tell a Type R from a standard Overlander.

I think the Rs are putting down more peak watts and may have an increased MPH assist setting. I base that on the difference between the P7 and P7R

Yeah, I meant visually speaking however.

I've since asked Stealth who let me know there's no visual difference. That's potentially going to be fun for dealing with law enforcement shenanigans, trust me it's the street legal version sir.

I am going to go out on a limb and assume the extra power is just software locked. There's some extra settings behind a pin code I don't have.

More than likely IF there is extra power available, it would be a factory program software issue. Because I have no experience with the Type R Overlanders, my comment is strictly speculation.

A funny thing happened on my way to the forum. In case you forgot I normally post in this thread as Theodore Voltaire.
My eBike life started in this thread in 2013 when I bought my red Bomber, my first eBike. What a ride it's been. The black B52 is my sons 2014. The purple bike is my new crush, Bullwinkle. I just built it using skills I learned from working on my Stealth over the years. I'm still riding the Stealth, but it's really looking so old school to me now. Hard to believe I'm saying that lol. Bullwinkle is almost as fast as my Bomber. I installed the Nucular controller in it that I originally bought for Electronaut, but didn't need because I liked the Kelly I installed while waiting for the nuc.

My b52 currently running a Sabvoton 150 amp controller and a custom battery. Looking to soon upgrade it again to a qs273 with a nucular controller.

Now that looks like a road ebike chopper there. Have you taken it to Strokers yet?

lOL, yes, I showed it off to Rick Fairless, the owner. His response was surprisingly underwhelming, especially when I told him the price. He has a eBike on his showroom floor he's trying to sell that's based on the Cheetah eBike platform, made by a dealer called Wicked Thumb, in Denton Tx. It's a simi chopper looking normie 750w eBike he wants almost $3000 for. The bgx is 10 x better looking, and has over 2000w in stock form for $1800. I think that might have something to do with it. He said my tires were crappy lol.

When I rode it to the Harley shop the response wasn't much better. I don't think Harley's are selling so well these days. I got the feeling they were afraid bikes like the bgx will be the kiss of death to them in the future.

Oh well, I'm used to it. No one ever wanted to give my Stealth much love either.

Hi Stealth Bomber Fans ,
I'm back ;)

Enjoy my new photo's from the Forest here in Belgium.

Very happy with my QS205 motor , just a little bit to heavy for offroad ....
The 72V 40AH battery is awesome ! Great range , +- 200KM

I Just really need to upgrade my controller , what would be the best option ?

Kind regards
Fast Jelle ( Snelle Jelle )

I loved adappto to but I had three, and all of them stopped working randomly. The quality doesn't even come close.
So I built my Adappto powered Alpha in 2016. The last time I talked to the ES Member that bought the bike, it was still working. 2021ish I think. He said he got the bike for his dad and its still running perfectly. To my knowledge, its still working and probably needs a battery rebuild.

This is my present #301 Bomber with the custom battery 20S14P I made in 2018 with Sony VTC6 cells and Nucular 24F installed in June 2021. The battery now has around 14000Km and still doing very well and the Nuc 24F after around 6500Km is still with original Firmware and working perfect as well.

Tell us about your wheel tire combo,

Tell us about your wheel tire combo,
Front: Moto Rim 19x1,4" with Michelin STARCROSS 5 SOFT 70/100 R19
Rear: Moto Rim 19x1,6" with Michelin Starcross 5 Medium 70/100 R19
Having a 70mm wide front motorcycle tire is very useful because you don't have the deflecting effect when you enter other vehicles' tracks or encounter obstacles such as tree trunks.
