Fibretech FlyPAN 2015 Dual Diag 12S

yes, but well the roads in paris are really great. And I really love the feeling of the Kegels. This is maybe one of the only reason I like to ride the Evolve Carbon deck. These also look AWESOME in orange

just gorgeous !

moving forward ! my new enclosure is much more streamlined. RAW cut with scissors - sorry for that :) it's not finished yet

kevlar/aramide enclosure is fun (I was remaining some epoxy resin on my bucket so I did a quick test with a basic 2 minutes mold) - when melted with epoxy it's easy to cut with scissors but it's indestructible !

just did a quick calc for you and you would loose around 1.1mph changing to 80mm wheels..so not bad..lol

thanks ! well not really proud of that... but this new board is going to be a prototype for many things... including this chameleon paint that changes color depending on how you look at it !

I did not put the glossifier yet! fear !!!

finishing my ESC customized enclosure

not sanded, raw.

added some structure for the ESC and wattmeter

how low can you go - compared to a 6S lipo !

epoxy has dryed, just a quick fit in the raw box

well, It's quite easy. I ordered a product (even if it's beta) that was not compliant in quality with the initial Vedder specifications. Some of people have their VESC fried; I needed to change the capacitors and I am not a electric engineer. Good news is that onloop has a quality and customer oriented view which is great. Opportunity has been given to send them back. I did.

It could have worked, at least it was working with no load but I was not really confident.

Just a test for fun

moving forward.

my next plan is to remove the grip and epoxy a carbon sheet; I will then re grip the deck. I think this will compensate the little bit of flex that I have gained due to digging in the deck. Plus, this will make it look dope !

deck weight ready to ride is now under 8kg.... it's 7.8kg

some awesomeness soon :

21th JUNE => GO SKATEBOARDING DAY !

Have fun.

ps: I will remove the chameleon plastic dip and put some nice red satin color :> this looks a bit too crazy for me !
ps2: I should be getting the carbon fiber tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully tomorrow evening I will be able to epoxy a carbon sheet layer on my top sheet; after having the grip removed. Just wondering if I can sand epoxied Carbon with sand paper; This would be easier for the edges ... same way I am applying grip tape; then sanding to make them exactly fit the edges/borders of my deck.

Well I certainly went for a skate! Was planning a 16km trip around the lake, parked the car and switched things on, only to find my remote was run flat despite reading a full charge before I left. Bugger. Got some nice pictures though...

As for the carbon finishing - pretty much, yes. Make sure all the carbon is saturated with resin, and it's fine to hit with a file/sandpaper, just use water to stop the dust. It's a good idea to seal it up with some more epoxy wherever you exposed the fibres.

hey guys,

I need your advices/guidance. I am running four 3S to make at the end one 12S. There are two possibilities to make the final 12S pack

A) go one cable that will connect + and - of each lipo; and then having the first lipo + and last lipo - going to make the 12S
B) make one 6S pack from two 3S; make one 12S from the two 6S pack in series

at this time, I went for option B) but with this solution I am having many connectors where on option A) it could save me some space.

Here's a quick drawing I made to illustrate.

Which option would you recommend ?

Thanks

yeah, currently I have option B); issue is that you have much more connectors and have to make this fit which is not easy because the connectors make some parts more rigid

with A), you have wires but... wire is more flexible

I think I will make an option A) try.

moving on - a bit of soldering for my new series wire - works fine and save lots of space in the enclosure

and a fun video. I will charge my remote controller :D I know.

just did my first testing ride with the new reworked board. I went on some hills and many start from zero speed; and accelerating while carving. Will post my review soon but in few words, the board is way better to ride, less bulky; more flex and pleasant to the eye. Dogs love it.

I did just 14km (8,70 miles) and consumed exactly 1810mAH (of 5000mah). Good score with few (if no) throttle management.

I also started to make a mold for my upcoming remote controller. For you folks... this is not a sex toy - at least I don't play to use it this way!!!

hey guys, a quick message to tell you that the four 3S 5AH setup is really a great option to consider. Board is flat; you can get a cheap iCHARGER to charge the packs. Works flawless. Nice autonomy. At this time, I don't see how I could improve my eboard. Maybe fumigenes for fun... but that's forbiden by the law.

top enclosure is less than 2.5 cm... at its highest point. Boards looks sleek. Took me some time to get to this, but definitely happy with the results.
