Hey Greg, I was thinking about the higher speed you're getting and I'm wondering if its similar to how the infineon can be programed to have more than 100% max speed. I remember Hyena was telling you about it on that radio show when he was a guest. I think %120 speed is pretty easily done with the in fine on. How does that compare? Do you remember that episode?
I remember everything hyena says. i never forget anything. and my memory is 100% flawless. i remember every car i pass, and at exactly what speed. and if a leaf was falling in my peripheral vision.
just kidding of course. it's
possible... but curious too what my top speed's were on this bike w/ other setups, i did a little search and found
these posts after going from 20s (12fet 45A controller) to 24s (18fet 45A) in Feb 2013:

So what speeds are you hitting now on 24s? Watts per mile gone up or down? I assume up till you get used to the added power that 100v offers.

obviously i was happy about the performance of 24s compared to 20s. i can't say whether 44mph was the max possible speed (and the batts were cold), or just my max speed for the ride, but you can see that the max current was comparable. (the miniE has a max of 65A and i see it frequently when hitting WOT.)
i ran 20s for a lonnnnnnnnnnnnng time, and i never thought i'd need more, but after years i got so comfortable with it, that i was really ready to go 100V. 20s had gotten too slow for me. i need to find my top speed at 20s back in the thread, and i'm guessing it was near 44mph, but that would have been down a long downhill stretch. at 20s going uphill, i had to be in the slow lane and got destroyed by cars.
so when i hit 24s, i was psyched to have the additional speed.
and when andrey said i'd go faster @20s with the miniE than @24s on the infineon, i was skeptical to say the least.
but i'm definitely going faster. i'm probably going as fast on this bike at 80v with the miniE than i'd be going at 110V with infineon set to 100%. no data. just my feeling...
something i've not mentioned, is that power seems more graduated with the miniE than infineon, almost as if there are higher gears...
andrey, man, can you help me out here? how the hell does this thing work?
and if you dare, can you tell us if it's more 'efficient'?
