I recently purchased a ebike kit 72v 3000w from amazon, after a few weeks the controller has become faulty, im now getting error 10 communication error, im using the UKC1 lcd and the seller is not being very helpful to me. is anyone familiar with this kit and could advise on a replacement controller. I have also attached pic of kit purchased.
Any help will be better than sitting with a bike that not working.
thanks in advance

Have you done a simple check of all connections? By unplugging/screwing and replugging/screwing all connectors between the components (motor/controller/battery/throttle/display/etc.) to see if that helps.

Thanks for your reply, yes I have checked all connections unplugged and plugged back in again error is still there.

I purchased off amazon UK it’s no longer on there from what Amazon have told me it was 72v 3000w kit and I can’t find it now either. The manual has www.dongdianebikekits.com which if you shop from takes you to alibaba
Hope this helps. If I could just get another controller that would work I would be happy.

A pic of info on the controller

have you tried disconnectng the sensor wires (smaller wires coming out of hub motor) and running it without them? it may remove the error if its not communicating with the hall sensors that they go to.

That would be a different error code. The one he's getting indicates a problem between the LCD and the controller; most likely it's just a connection problem, broken wire, corrosion on pins, etc., but could be failed serial port electronics.

To the OP:

If you just want to replace the controller rather than attempting any fix, you'll need to replace both the display (LCD) *and* the controller box, with a "kit" that comes with both together with the connecting cables. If you only replace the controller, you may not fix the problem, if it is in the display, or the wiring between display and controller.

Addiitionally, if you want to be certain the LCD and controller will work together, you must get an identical controller to the existing one. (or identical LCD, if keeping the controller and replacing the LCD). Only specific models of LCDs / controllers work together (which is why it's easier to replace both at the same time with a set that comes together, rather than trying to find compatible ones).

Thank you for all the replies, I will take the information and replace controller and LCD.
