Please add me to the list for a complete kit as well. Any idea on when it will be available to ship?

No problem, you're on! I'm getting PCB's next week, but there are many people on the list before you so I can't tell for sure unfortunately.

I rather get that than dealing with a junk yard. Multi use :).

Well, I personally wouldn't go with that, seems too cheap for something like that and I don't like the peak amp value. Jut grab a regular battery (if you don't like junk yards try ebay or similar, maybe some neighbor has some old spare one), you can still use it for cranking cars, no difference at all.

It probably contains some junk 7 to 12Ah (I got something similar with 7Ah) VRLA battery that craps it self just thinking about 700A.

I would like to get a complete kit as well. I just don't trust the asian spot welders you can buy cheaply. Any word on how long the wait will be? And do you ship them to Denmark (inside the EU)

Cheers
/Michael

Just completed a nice little pack build using the JP Spot welder. This is 6S4P pack for a RC friction drive project I have on the boil. Cells are Samsung 25R's and will be pulling 500W max and 250W continuous from this setup.

Using my 2S 60ah Headway setup and the weld pulse set to10ms, welds were consistent and strong. Very pleased with the results. Thanks Riba for bringing an excellent product to the market.

Here are some shots of my build. Nothing particularly new, but worth posting up another fine JP Spot welder build.

Just a question: from the picture it is not clear, but I hope that the nickel plates that you soldered the positive cable to cannot short with the batteries in behind them?

Riba2233, Please put me down for one standard kit and shipping to US. Excited to try one of these. I really like how compact it is.

That looks very nice. Good arrangement to equalize the current.

Where did you get the slotted nickel sheets? Those look really handy.

Details please. Sorry if I mess up your photos.

Do you like the black plastic battery holders? Where do you buy them? What is thickness of nickle strips? Would you please take a picture or provide a written description of how the nickle is put together. Parallel / Series.

Thanks for possibly making my battery spot welding dream come true.

Hi, here are some more pictures:

Nickel is 0.15, this one:

And holders are this ones:

Yeah, I'm fairly satisfied with them, I used to have ones from ebay, supower, but they were pure shit, barely made a pack with them. I had to glue cells additionally.

Nickel makes 4 cells connected in parallel, and they you just make series, 14 series groups. You can see one side on the first picture, and another side on second picture, it's really simple. just use cross pattern, I hope it's clear, and if it's not, I will make a drawing.

Hi,

I like your Welder and want one, too.
I need the Welder without Footswitch/Electrodes.
I know, that I am late, is there a difference in delivery time between the PCB, the diy kit and the assembled Version? Are the metal bars included in the PCB Version?

Hi riba, can you please put me on the list for a complete DIY kit shipped to the US? This project looks great!

For good reason. 18650 is a better alternative to LiPo in every way except for actual construction of packs. Riba's spot welder has made easy pack building accessible to us here on ES and for that we thank him. 8)

Yea I had a feeling back when Riba started making these they would be popular.

It's great to see the demand. Hope he can keep up with it tho I do have faith in him.

+1
It really is a turning point for the diy e-biker I think.

Iv also got one ordered to test out and im really excited.

No prob! yeah, they are included.

Diy kit might get shipped earlier yeah, but maybe not so much, I'm not sure yet.
