Hi folks!

I am the happy owner of an Emco Novi C 1500 electric scooter. It is an 1500 w scooter. The accupack is old and needs to be replaced. I am interested in an LifePO4 battery because of the good characteristics of it. My current battery is 48V and 29AH. I want to expand the radius distance so I am thinking about a larger capacity (eg. 40AH). I am not technical but is that possible? Are there more details I should keep in mind? I searched the internet and in my opinion the most affordable and suitable accu comes from china. The have pretty cool accu's with BMS etc. But there is so much information on the internet. So there are some loose ends for me....

I hope you can give me an advice.

Your new battery has to fit in the scooter. Do you know the dimensions of the battery compartment?

In general, LiFePO4 batteries will be quite a bit larger and heavier than a Li-ion battery of the same capacity.

If you are replacing lead, then chances are, you can fit enough lifepo4 in there. 30 ah would be the minimum, in my opinion, for your load.

Less could still work, but 30 ah will work good for sure, better range, longer lifespan, etc. Pack in as much as will fit.
