I've had this idea for a while & it took a whole 3 hrs to make & assemble. Its funny how the simple low budget builds are the most effective. This bike works so well I'm kind of waiting for the bomb to drop lol. My only complaint is the battery rack is top heavy.
Here is what I did. I converted the rear disc brakes to rim brake & mounted the motor where the caliper was then mounted a sprocket on the wheel where the disc was.
Its running a kelly kds48100e with a 36v1000watt currie style motor using #35 chain direct to the wheel with a 48v lipo. I've never clocked the speed but it moves very well I'd say 30-35 mph
