After the first titanium printed bike and the first titanium printed horse shoes, when will they print the first titanium ebike hub?
It's a perfect part to print in titanium as it is just the perfect size to fit in a 3D printer.
3D printing companies always want publicity, perhaps we could convince one to make us a free ebike hub of titanium?
Part of the process would be a 3d blueprint of a hub specifically redesigned for titanium with topological optimization using Altair SolidThinking Inspire for example, it would be amazing to see! and the price of an entire hub of aluminium? probably less than 1000 dollars on today's market: it takes less than 24 hours to print four customized shoes for a horse and it costs approximately $600 for all of them. What would it weigh? what advantages for a 3d printed hub, i.e. magnets don't need to be glued as they are fixed in place?
