TSDZ2 wobble and creaky pedals

Interesting thread. My TSDZ2 started giving me pedal creak within the first 50 miles. "Oh no", I said, "the bearings are gone already?" No, when I got home, I could turn the whole motor with my hands in the frame. Loose lock nut. Common on middrives. My first bafang did that too. I had tried to do it with a channel lock pliers. No, I also had to buy the wrench.

Used a big hammer (BFH) on the lock nut wrench. Also noticed the plate was bent like yours in the photo. I replaced the bolt with another allen head unit made out of stronger steel, but I didn't torque it too much. I didn't want to crush the frame tubes, even though it's an old steel 10 speed. That kept everything tight.

My TSDZ2 pack uses Sanyo GA's. I know because I built it, Sanyo specifies their cell wills do 300 full 100% charge/discharge cycles and still have 90% of original capacity. For me, that's like forever. I also rarely go below 50%, although I always recharge to 100% unless I'm not riding in the next few days,

Now if you use the generic 50 cent chinese cells (Sanyo GA's retail for $7USD). you won't see 300 cycles even with 80-20%, My opinion is that they often are worn out before 100 cycles.
