Turnigy watt meter for $25

Hi there! I've been also using one ''alike'' wattmeter and I wanted to know is it possible to somehow record the readings or at least keep them for longer?

AS of right now I intend to build outside power supply for powering it from 0 - 5v. Of course, it will be a battery but I have to check if it accepts 4v and if it does not mess up with backlight brightness. Since right now my wattmeter is hooked up to the main battery and each time I turn off the system, the readings are also gone..

Though, this still makes me to write down readings after each ride .. would be great to just ''copy - paste'' them to somewhere digitally.. First idea would be to just connect to the display pins and decipher the 16 x 2 code. Then it could be sent elsewhere and stored there, perhaps. Though dunno how easy would it be to really ''guess'' all the letters and numbers to portray them in an understandable manner once again..
