Velocity Cliffhanger rims

Are these strong enough as DH rims? They are listed under MTB rims, but most references seem to be for touring. I am not looking for alternative rim suggestions, just comments on whether suitable for DH (I have a Rohloff laced into a Cliffhanger I need to do something with...) http://www.wheelbuilder.com/velocity-cliff-hanger-rim.html

It wouldn’t match today’s DH racing standards (and fashion), but it is good for the job. The Roholf on the other side, is a sure value. Many here are buying a whole bike for less than a Roholf shifting hub is worth. :wink:
