Hello,
I believe my votol contoller is faulty and could kill someone on the road. Today it almost happened.

I got a qs138 5kw mid drive with votol em150sp. I've bought motor and controller as a kit on aliexpress and it was preconfigured to work together and worked not bad on a default settings.

The first problem is that it has a faulty flash memory as I think, after finding some few similar messages here on the forum.
It connects to PC well, it reads all the parameters, I can see realtime RPM or voltage, etc, but if I try to save any params, it gives me a window "write to succesfull",
but actually no parameters are being written, after turning ignition off/on and loading params, I see the old data. After trying to save anything new, I got a "controller failure" on the display page (see pic).

I've tried different drivers, program versions and even another PC - and I've got the same result all time.

I've tried to contact Siaecosys support by different emails but no success.

Anyway, the riding was not so bad, I had a default 120amps in sports mode and was riding in this mode for all of the time. For some reason, controller ignored 30s time to set sport mode off.

But today I wrecked in a back of a car and had to cover expencive damage to it. I was just in a traffic jam behind the car, I've released my front brake and gently turned the throttle, but it suddenly gave me 100% acceleration, I've released throttle and pressed front brake strongly in just a moment - but motor was not stopping and it slided me with front brake locked with increasing speed to back of the car! I was too close and no space left or right to avoid the accident. Hopefully it happened to the car, not people standing near the bike!

Now I love gasoline bikes for their engines that could be easily stopped if you don't let them spin. The electric motor will push you to the hell if something goes wrong!

I have dissasembled and checked throttle - and all seems to be fine - 0.83v idle, encreasing to 4.7v at the end. 5.2v from the controller goes to the throttle.
All wires are good and have no damage. I use this throttle: https://aliexpress.ru/item/1005004407631487.html
I think this is a controlle failure, because I got this at the moment of starting my movement. After accident I was able to go back home and all was working as usual.
But when I hit the car and bike has fall, it was still spinning till the moment I've turned ignition off.

I appreciate any help or information on this 2 problems! Maybe someone has experienced something like this?

Shit man, sounds like it lacks some safety features in the electronics. That should never happen, sorry for your misfortune.

I don't know anything about Votol, so can't help you there.

TBH i would never use a controller that went WOT on me again. The only way, is if i have a killswitch fro that controller. A very old phaserunner did this to me when running a motor with faulty halls, and it would also accelerate on it's own. The throttle was totally fine AFAIK.

Here's my kill switch, it's designed to be pulled out by a finger in an emergency to cut voltage to the controller.

Thanks for sharing! I think I need to switch to another controller - even another same votol, but with working memory, I would be able to use regen - it cuts throttle immediately when you press brake. I wasn't able to use it because of high default level and not being able to change it.

After you get the succesful message, you have to hit the CLOSE button and,...well I always hit the X, top right, as well.
I've tried this of course. After pressing "Param write" and getting succesful message, I instantly get error on display page. So no matter what I do - close connection or just close the program.
