I've just got a new Votol controller but it doesn't seem to be working as it should.

In the software, display page, I don't see my voltage or current at all, it is all zeros.

Throttle is not working also.

Any suggestions???

Thanks.

Sorry, from your other thread, it looked like you didn't know how to turn it on (you had that pin circled). Great that you figured it out (y)
Yes, those Chinese diagrams can be confusing, but I managed to connect all the important wires, brakes, inficators, lights I will deal with that after I make it spin the motor by the throttle.

If you're sure your throttle is wired in the correct order to match the controller (5V, ground, signal), then you may need to swap phase wires (motor is "stuck").

How do you mean "stuck"? It turns when auto learn is initiated. It goes half a turn one way, than half a turn the other way all on it's own.

can you share picture of your setting.. as you mention you already do the self learning right?

Is the controller set to Park (P) on the display page?

I think you need to go to the port page and switch it off in PC14

Just make a note of the settings that you change so you can set them all back again if it doesn’t work.

Some of the other port settings may be stopping it working as well, like side stand and anti theft.

You do need to be careful when adjusting port settings because they are for setting up the inputs of the various wires that feed into the controller.

If you don’t get any answers here then you will just have to trawl through YouTube videos to figure them all out.

Can I disable all of them?

Yes you can in the ports page. Did you get a manual with the controller? It should be explained in detail how to do it, if you can understand it.

I think so, by selecting the F radio button and Empty Function from the drop down menu.

There is a thread dedicated to Votol controller, so it best if you ask there. You may get a better answer.

I’m a Sabvoton man and setting up my controller properly is hard enough and the Votol is far more complicated.

Its for the EM100 and EM150, but the EM50 uses the same software, so I’m sure the Votol experts can help you if you post screenshots of all your pages.

Hey, I dont think youre actually connected to your controller, in your case it just says "OPEN"

meanwhile if you were properly connected that open option should instead read "Close Port"

You should also be getting a voltage reading and if anythings wrong/misconfigurated, possibly a fault code in the display tab.

Sorry for misleading you, but I took the screenshot of the saved configuration, while taking the photo I was at work and not conected, but those are the correct values. Still don't understand why I don't see a voltage reading, but there is no faults registered at all.

Apparently “Hall Error” on a Votol means your throttle signal is outside of voltage limits.

Incidentally, I get a hall sensor error when I go full throttle from a standstill on my Sabvoton. I think it is a safety feature.

When I do this I just switch off the display and switch it on again and the error clears.

How do I fix this
