Hey Guys,

I wanted to let you know a friend of mine just joined the forum (Bret4). GGoodrum and I know him from RCgroups. He is a past buddy who made RC helicopter upgrades at the same time I did. He is a machinist. I am not sure how involved he will be in project builds, but I wanted to introduce him to you Guys.

Thanks for the welcome guys. As Matt mentioned, I have been into RC helicopters and also RC cars and trucks. Toolmaking is my day job. I have been at that for 30 years.

Now my interest are going more toward recumbent bikes. I have built a few from scratch. With the large hills where I live in Connecticut it would be nice to build a electric powered bike one day. So hear I am to read up an learn from you guys.

Welcome, Did you hang out at bentrideronline? I am also into recumbents. I built 2 and front hubbed one of them. Got any pics of your possible e-candidates?

Dont listen to those hub motor guys, 'bents are the ideal platform for an easy chain drive install for you. less battery weight, more bicycle like feel.

Yea, And I'm running sla might as well call it what it is "lead sled" It must go back to my v-8 days :lol: I love my 9c but I am ready to build something lightweight..

There is one problem with coming here to learn stuff.

Your head will be so full of info after one day, you will need a cranium upgrade.

I can't think of a larger pool of talented and educated people anywhere.

I'll say you can probably build some wicked stuff like recumpence(matt) can. Since you're an rc guy and machinist, I'm sure you can do some amazing stuff. I hope to see some projects in the near future.
