I want to run 2500 to 3000w so any ideas on suitable controllers (available to Australia)

But is it possible to replace its controller by a waterproof version ?

Does the motor use a pedal rotation detector? (Torque sensor or PAS)
Or does it only work like an electric scooter? (Independent of the pedaling)

You can use any controller you want. I think it doesn't come with a controller attached

I bought the 250w,very weak magnets inside the big outrunner motor.Tried it at 48volt 25 a ,still very weak.Magnets was almost non magnetic and a LOT of resistane in the drive unit in lack of freewheel.I belive the 1000w is better,but same resistance inside.

If the magnets were that weak, it sounds like a defect / manufacturing problem. I've not seen even tiny little motors with magnets like that, regardless of their intended power level.

After talking to Marina at Yalu it was clear to me they didnt have a clue about ebikes,just copying.This motor was useless.I belive it was a manufacturing problem.I aslked many times for some drawings/measure.Finally they posted theese pics showing their lack of understanding :
