Your Creation's Before & After Pics

The bikes look great. What make and model did they start with? Did they come with the front suspension? Do you now the rear dropout width?

Thanks

I custom built 2 of these bikes I started with carver titanium ti o beast frame with rock shox bluto forks HPC STRIKER and HPC Thunderbolt 5000 watt kits with 24s extreme pack running 90 volts. one bike is running stock controller and one has 18 fet lyen overclocked to 6200 watts and 70 amps. both run 4 inch 100 mm wi9de rims on vee 8 26 x 4.0 tires surly holey clown shoes for front rims tektro hydasulic brskes and brooks saddles with titanium rails and titanium seatposts. they weigh 70 lbs respectively fully loaded. they cost a little over 10,000 each to build. if you search all of my videos on the you tube page you will see my pugsley and mukluk. running 72 volts electric rider 7240 kits at 40 amps. check them out and tell me what you think. rear axle width on fat bikes for surly is 135 mm salsa and other newer fatbikes run 170 mm rear and a few others run 190 mm don't try a 190 mm it wont fit. try a surly with an offset rim or any bike running a 135 170 is a little difficult masking it fit.

hey guys, this is my first ever post on endless spere! just thought id share my first and only ebike build- a 1kw/48v build i finished off about 6 months ago as a general trail/commuter. works great! the frame was built from scratch to suit the battery/controller.

I'd just start your own fresh thread... 'tis what most of us do when starting a build project.

Sorry, i have only after pics, but it is not difficult to image how it looked before.

Specs:

-brakes: Shimano Deore hidraulic disc brakes, rotors 180 mm front and rear
- hub motor: nine continent n48 on a 26" rim
- controller: crystalyte, 48V@35A
- battery: 14S2P 5000mah turnigy lipo cells
-battery box: made from black non-transparent plexiglas
-tires: schwalbe hurricane
-throttle control: magura half twist
-ignition switch: used a chromed switch for old harleys with key, ofc used two 24v relays in series to prevent key switch damage.
-performance: 0-40km/h in 4-4,5 seconds, max speed 51,2 km/h on flat
-range: at max speed around 20-22 km, at normal cycling speed 40-50km

I made this frame from 1mm sheet metal and was completely made from scratch for my yr 12 metalwork project and it has taken me 6 months to complete, this is a photo of the bike before its first test run. enjoy...

Wow, 1mm. How's the rigidity?

You must have learnt a lot!

It has worked out well had a few issues over the first few months but i fixed them and the bike is stronger than ever and rides amazing. Here is the bike finished and powder coasted just need some new brake lines.

That is a gorgeous bike. Well done!

Can you share any of the technical fabrication details? I have little welding experience, but I aspire to do custom frames like this. What kind of equipment did you use? What kind of jigs did you make/use, if any.

Gravity FSX.
38lbs.
250w geared rear motor.
CA3.
Lyen 6fet.
Some upgrades.
Back-pack battery, 12s Turnigy.

Time for some new "after" pics of Crazybike2, now that it has new lower cargo pod rails, and a ball hitch for trailer. It's also got all it's "fairing" stripped off for the work...and is still up for rewiring and a new front fork, so there's likely to be another new set by next week (I hope).

I like the graphics mate.

What tyres are those please?

Tyres on dans bike are electra fattios 24" x 3" I believe.. unless they do a 26" version I am not aware of. The fattios are made by cheng shin but branded fattios. I have a set of 20" x 3" cheng shins on my hardtail, beautiful tyres....
