Cycle Analyst v3DPS to use hall sensors for speed

I purchased a v3 cycle analyst with a seperate speedometer pickup, but I want the speed to be read directly from the controller. Is there a way I can change the settings so that the cycle analyst picks up the hall signals for speed?

    Clicking noise- 9c

I did notice that the wheel was not center in the dropouts, so this means I need to dish my wheel right?

    Clicking noise- 9c

The problem was in the hall sensor connector. One of the pins was loose and not making contact. However, the wheel is not true and wobbles when rotating. The spokes on one side are all loose, while the spokes on the other side are tight. Does this mean that my rim is bent?

    Clicking noise- 9c

The motor still has some resistance when the controller is disconnected. It is not too difficult to turn, but doesn't make more than a full revolution when I try to spin it and let go.

    Clicking noise- 9c

My motor is not spinning no matter what, and it's really frustrating! I have a Grin 12fet sensored controller and a 9c rear motor. I recently replaced the halls because they were not functioning and they appear to be working now. The motor was working fine previously after the repair. Now I hear...

Opening the side covers on the 9C

I finally got the cover open. Turns out I was wedging at the wrong angle and just ended up nicking the cover instead of opening it. It took a couple drops on the floor to release the cover. Now time to replace the phase and hall wires. What would be the optimal length of the phase wires for...

Opening the side covers on the 9C

I've been whacking at the side covers on my 9C rear hub motors for a while now, and I've bent 2 mini screwdrivers and still can't get the damn thing open. I've also tried hammering a knife into the cover but that doesn't seem to work. I've tried hitting the axle but that just seemed to break my...

    Adaptor for rear rack

I discovered that my bicycle didn't have mounting holes for a rear rack after I purchased a rack. Would it be safe to create adaptors to mount to the rear axle of the hub motor and carry a load of 25-30 lbs? Or would it be better to drill holes into the rear swing arm?

    Front Fork replacement

Would adding a 100mm travel fork cause problems on the V2100? Or maybe a 120-140mm one?

Replacement fork for the Genesis v2100

So I was lucky enough to be in class when a delivery truck hit my bicycle(locked to the rack) and bent the wheel and probably the fork. The wheel doesn't spin fully and I think the disk brake mount on the fork is screwed. So I think it's time for a replacement (hopefully not paid for by my own...

Building my first 48v 18650 battery

I would be careful when using those 4x 18650 holders. The springs are not meant to handle high current (certainly not the 20+ amps expected at 20 mph) and the mechanical connection is not good- what will happen when you hit a bump and the batteries jiggle?

    Active pre-charge/inrush control

I think gate to source is shorted. 33k resistor is OK. I read in the thread that several other members have had trouble with the design on page 1 ( many many blown FETs!) I only have components for the page one build- is it worth the trouble to get the additional components for the new design...

    Active pre-charge/inrush control

Hmm. I'm getting no resistance from gate to source, even with the capacitor disconnected. What does that mean?

    Active pre-charge/inrush control

I made the first version of this circuit, and it worked fine... until I plugged in my DC/DC converter which turned the whole thing off. Now the gate voltage is always zero. The resistor seems fine, and so does everything else. What could the DC/DC converter have done to break the thing? I was...

    Bending the Pedal cranks

I took the box back to the machine shop to do some angry filing... and when I finally get back I hear a clunk... still too wide... cause I filed in the wrong places -.- But I think I can make the box fit. Unfortunately the other problem is that my A123 pack can barely fit in my triangle, and I...

    Bending the Pedal cranks

So in a small oversight, I made my battery box a little large and my pedal hits the bottom of the box... but just barely... I think I was about 1/5 inch off. The right pedal looks like it's bendable. But how would I go about and force it about 1/5 of an inch out? Or is it too much trouble and...

    12S2P Lipo Burnout

You should be at least monitoring your individual cell voltages when bulk charging. Hobby king sells these really cheap 8S beepers that work great and take only a couple of minutes to attach to your balance leads. I use an A123 pack but I still follow through with this precaution every time I...

Alternative to the Bionx 36V charger?

Well, I bet the main reason is so that they can keep selling expensive chargers. I cut off the XLR plug on my BionX 36V charger and it had only two wires, + and -. I didn't see anything that would stop you from using a different charger.

    found 1200 lumen bike light 12-80V $20.00

Careful with these lights- the one I got drew 3 watts and definitely did not output anything close to 1200 lumens. They worked fine at 48V (60 max) and were actually brighter at 48V than 12V but the one I got wasn't very useful as a front headlight.

Getting rid of the rear Derailleur

I rarely use my rear Derailleur, so I was thinking of removing it completely to save space on the handlebars. What kind of chain or chain tensioner would I need to install?

Add a Cree HeadLight to your 48V system

I have one of those LM2596 and they get very hot at 3A. I don't how long you can expect them to last when run continuously at 3A.

    Best upgrades for $200-300

I purchased a 40A Infineon controller and a 9c 12x5 fast wind motor, total cost was around $215, which leaves me a little more to spend. Now, I can't decide whether to do 2wd or try to sell my front hub motor. The 9c came with andersons, but I cut those off and replaced with bullets to fit my...

    KU123 100V Mod: success!

How did you get the screws holding the heatsink block to the case off? I stripped the screws but they still won't budge.
