Cheers! I'll give him a ring
I'll be going for a large 300 cell or more 48v or 52v 18650 pack as I'm going for utility and trekking
Mounting on the rear rack, as I don't think such a large pack would fit in the triangle or under the downtube
Few pics with an old E-dirt bike pack around the same size to give an Idea of placement
As rear racks go it's pretty solid thick steel, so should be fine. Plus means I can hide the battery inside a pretty standard rear rack bag
Going for a dual motor setup, 3kw Cyclone mid drive to rear wheel for powering up hills
250w or 500w direct drive on the front fork, aiming for a setup geared 100% for efficient cruising on flat roads at around 15 to 20 Mph
Because according to this performance analysis, the High powered mid drive would be very inefficient at 15mph cruising which only needs around 100 to 200 watts or less

Does anyone know of a good battery pack assembler here in the UK?
All the best 18650 and similar cells are not even made in china, so the cell cost will be similar whether the pack is assembled here or in china.
Just the assembly work portion of the total cost will be higher.
I'd be looking for Em3EV level quality, because "buy nice or buy twice"
Plus saftey is number one concern with li-ion
Without doubt the best in the UK https://ebikebatteries.co.uk/
Lift the phone and ask for Jimmy, a very knowledgable and fairly priced outfit. I purchased a 48v 17.5Ah pack for my BBSHD, still going strong after 4 years, made from Panasonic GA cells.
