I would love to upgrade from my tsdz2, to a better option.
Almost a year ago I had the same dilemma and in the end I bought TSDZ8. Highly recommended.
I would love to upgrade from my tsdz2, to a better option.
Bought a dm02, will take delivery today, hoping for great things from it
Also is seems to under read the battery percentage considerably
How? All I see is 2 battery voltage optionsYou can calibrate that in battery options.
Did you mean you lose motor assist for a few seconds with the yellow triangle? That's definitely not normal. Did you check the battery and whether it has a solid electrical connection to the motor? Also sometimes a little yellow triangle will flash on the screen amd the motor won't drive for a few seconds
Not sure if I got a bad one, or if this is how it should be for the model
1) go to battery settingsHow? All I see is 2 battery voltage options
Thanks very much, didn't know I could go down a level in to there, I'll change my values1) go to battery settings
2) leave cursor/selection at the very top
3) press and hold UP + DOWN on display for few seconds
4) Use these values according to your nominal battery voltage

I now have both motors for myself and my wife, and I’ve put thousands of kilometers on both. I did encounter a small issue after a firmware update, which I believe was a bug, so I reached out to Toseven. They responded quickly and sent me an updated firmware the next day.I want to share my experience with Toseven Dm01. I have a Toseven dm01, it is the best engine I have had in terms of driving experience, unfortunately after 600 km the "motor blocked" message appeared, it is impossible to order parts, I wrote to Toseven, I disassembled the set, checked everything, connected it to another controller and it looks like a problem with the engine, I have practically no service support from Toseven, I have been trying to order parts for about 2 months, but the engine is not available, I have sent 10 e-mails asking them to sell me the parts they have and no response , they sent an email with available parts, I replied giving the address and placing the order, again no contact despite several emails sent regarding the order. Toseven is the best engine until it breaks down. I have now ordered another Tsdz8 and that Dm01 is broken for now with no chance of repair due to lack of parts. Top engine with terrible service support. I am totally disappointed that they could make such a good product and screw up the service so much.

The tsdz8 has pretty bad reputation at the moment, a friend of mine bought one from psw power and it went up in smoke on his first ride
my experience is exactly the opposite, the contact with toseven is poor, pswpower helped me quickly by offering me a new set at a reduced price instead of repairing the Dm01 (I bought it) but for now I am not installing it on the bike because I am afraid that it will break down again soon (other users and I have written to me in some cases the engine died even after 200 km). Changing the software, even to the one that was supposed to fix it, doesn't help because the problem is with the motor, not the software (I checked and it's not a software problem, I even replaced it with a new controller and it didn't work either, only the vesc controller was able to start the motor at high amperage) . The engine is still not available, contact with Toseven is poor, I waited a month for other available parts that I ordered, and they respond to e-mails with a delay of often more than a week. Dm01 is the best engine I have had in terms of driving experience, but the worst in terms of parts availability, service, and failure rate (previously, apart from the engine lock, the set failed twice while driving due to the software and I had to return without assistance and re-upload the software) , after negative experiences with Dm01, I started to miss Bbshd and 4000km without any failures and it still works.I now have both motors for myself and my wife, and I’ve put thousands of kilometers on both. I’ve been following the discussions on the Facebook page and other forums, and I’ve noticed that you’ve been posting this same complaint across various platforms, without offering any other insight.
According to official statement from Toseven, the “motor blocked” issue is due to a firmware bug. However, it seems like you jumped to your own conclusions and began disassembling your motor. I’m not sure if you’re trying to promote Tongsheng or if you’ve just made things worse by taking your motor apart. The tsdz8 has pretty bad reputation at the moment, a friend of mine bought one from psw power and it went up in smoke on his first ride. psw power didnt respond at all. online reports seem to be that the TS currently sucks.. maybe they will fix it but given their track record i doubt i
theres a guy on the discord with 11k km on his dm01, im on about 3k km on the 01 and about 2,5k km on the 02. nothing but a firmware glitchmy experience is exactly the opposite, the contact with toseven is poor, pswpower helped me quickly by offering me a new set at a reduced price instead of repairing the Dm01 (I bought it) but for now I am not installing it on the bike because I am afraid that it will break down again soon (other users and I have written to me in some cases the engine died even after 200 km). none, it came on then puff! let the magic smoke out of the controllerInteresting. How much power did your friend use? Mine won't even get worm.
Should be about the same stuff folks look for with full sus frames and bafang or tongshens. 29" wheels that'll fit 2.8" wide tires. Keep hitting parts of trails that will shake my feet right off the pedals, I'm 43 years old and don't need to be shaking up my joints, and while I'm getting more confident catching air and landing, a little more squish would help me land with more control and confidence. I'm going to try and find something use over the winter that I can hopefully pick up on the cheap that will work.
