Hey everyone,

I've been running Cyclone 3000W with a 48V Kelly controller for the past five years, but it died now. I'm looking for a modern replacement, ideally compact and light, that supports a future 72V battery upgrade. I need around 60A (continuous DC current).

Any recommendations? Maybe VOTOL, Sabvoton, or Yuyang King (YKZ), or other brands? Your experiences and insights would be great!

Thanks!

Have you looked at open source VESC controllers.
I have had good results at those requirements

I've heard of them. However, I'm not ready to deal with their programming at the moment. I want to connect a new controller and immediately drive without any hassle.

all new controllers ( far driver , vesc, Kelly , etc) they all require some programming , I'd just get the identical Kelly if it was plug and play

When is the future? In another 5 years? 60A @ 48v is only 2880W
What other requirements do you have? Is a throttle and 3 speed switch enough, or do you need a display, etc?
Kelly makes a lot of controllers, so hard to tell what too big means.
