So the other day I decided to take out a 1 of the 2 shunts that my 48v to 72v controller had to cut my amps to 20 amps rather than 40 to test and see if my range would improve on my batteries and it did. I was able to ride into another county on 1 charge and all was working fine, even after the ride when I got home. And now yesterday I wanted to go for another ride and my motor kind of spinned for a split second then quit. I also noticed that each time I plug in the controller it would spark like crazy so my next indication was to bring controller and batteries and do a voltage test on the controller right after being connected to the batteries and after disconnecting I notice the capacitors were draining at a rate of 67v to 0v in 1 minute. So I took off the cover again and noticed my solder was a bit sloppy and figured it was shorting out due to it. So I took my soldering iron and smoothed it out and clean it up a bit more. That finally made it hold a charge like it is suppose to but now the motor wont spin still so my best guess was maybe something popped in the either the MOSFETS or somewhere else in the controller. I got some pictures of what it looks like, I hope it can be fixed still.
This was a video of my best and last ride prior to it giving out all of a sudden the next day
