I recently bought two very cheap Chinese electric motorbikes with a 72V (nominal) 20s configuration and a 10kW hub motor. Everything works fine, except for the charging - it frequently stops.
After a long investigation, I discovered that the BMS has a FarDrive logo on it. I logged in and connected to it through the app, where I noticed the MaxChargeCurrent is set to 25A.
This is a problem because the battery allows up to 30A, and the charger often tries to deliver around 27A, which should be fine for the battery.
However, the BMS flags this as an issue and throws error and stops charging. I thought this would be easy to fix, as others on YouTube seem to adjust FarDriver settings without trouble. But when I try to change it, the app keeps asking me to register or bind
Could someone please help me figure out what I’m doing wrong?
