Hi Guys, I recently picked up a Fardriver ND91800B controller that I want to hook up to my ME1616. I've been reading everything i can find and I'm getting little (and) mixed information. The me1616 has sin/cos encoder that in other forums say it will work with this controller. But on this forum I read a similar post and it concluded you cannot use a sin/cos encoder with this controller. I've already retrofitted the me1616 to run on hall sensors, so i feel confident i can install another encoder type if i need to but I'm not sure which encoder to install?

To make things even more confusing is the Fardriver encoder plug appears to have the YGB hall wires with a white wire labeled as P? I have no clue what that stands for. And why are there hall colored wires if it's no a hall controller?

I've attached picks of what I have. I'm trying to figure out how to get this set up and to understand these wires better.

I purchased a AS5074AP encoder kit that i know i can fit to the me1616 if i need to. Or i can purchase an encoder from e-coniccycles that is designed for a qs motor that i know will work with this controller but I'm not completely sure what type of encoder that is.

Long story short is i need some help on choosing a good encoder for this controller and help in understanding how to wire it up. This Fardriver has not been easy to get going...

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Nevermind. I think I found it. Decided to make it easy on myself and bought this encoder kit which I'll fit up to my me1616.
