Fibretech FlyPAN 2015 Dual Diag 12S

I have just watched you comparison video and I dont think it's a fair comparison, you need to get rid of that nunchuck mate..that is the problem not the ESC...you don't need to wait for the continuous beeps..just the first beeps and its on...
Wait until the rc handset arrives you will see the difference straight away..no comparison
I just did this quick video in my workshop- the first board is my sons, the next is my Onda conversion and the last is my dual 42mm board..all using the same type of rc transmitter/receiver.. perfect every time as you can see
Just out of interest how does the Evolve power compare to a dual 50mm setup?

thanks for your info. I was waiting for the transmitter, should be here on monday so today I took the nunchuck and took it slow :) It was OK but sometimes acted weird.

The carbon street vs DIY is a total different ride. First, the board is totally different, flex on the carbon street, not a lot on the wefunk. I would say that what changes the ride is also the dual diagonal traction, make it really different. The evolve is really a smooth ride, got less torque of course but the top speed is way enough to have fun.

Evolve : Sound of silence ! Smooth ride, Snowboard style on fresh powder but good speed (I am not sure you need more in fact). Really efficient braking, and smooth as butter.
DIY APS/ADS : Brutal ride, Adrenaline, Fast, Torque... Power. Sound of the motors make it more brutal. Everyone is looking at you. But the torque is like 2x more than the Evolve. Maybe more which is really bestial. This is much more you are doing downhill on flat (which is gnarly). You got real LB trucks...

Both are great, just (total) different riding style. Evolve is plug and play and stealth. I think this is a great achievement. You don't have to worry about anything.

PS: beautiful transmitter ! I want one :D

I also like freestyling my (non electric) longboard, again total different ride, feeling, pleasure.

Ok..so maybe a single motor with a BMS fitted (plug and play on/off and charging )..it would be on par to an Evolve at half the price..and you have the ability to use any deck. .choice of wheels and LB trucks...:)-sorted. ..

I make the transmitter my self from a vacuum formed shell and the electronics from the rc controller in my vid..
Hopefully the Alien transmitter will be available soon..and I think it will be even nicer..:)

I viewed your video again, this is SMOOTH and PRECISE. I need to make the same mold :) or at least find a way to get this done because the original transmitter is really ugly

If only I had a 3D printer. I will finish buying one.

I would also appreciated if that would be possible to remove the beeps the motors !

It is really smooth and comes on instantly..
Yes Bruno and I have toyed with the idea of a 3d printer but I have the use of a really high precision one at my work which I use for testing bracket and hub drive fitment etc ..they are such a good tool...
I actually make the wooden molds for the abs covers and transmitter mold myself also on a CNC milling machine
The fly sky transmitter works just as good as this control..
The beeps will stop when you use a correct transmitter and receiver... :D

It only beeps because the motors don't recognize the controller. The Wiiceiver I have only takes about 1-2 seconds to sync and it starts automatically.

All of mine start in less than 2 seconds as well.

http://e0designs.com/products/hall-effect-sensor-board/ for SK3 motors and a few others which I don't remember from the top of my head.

You can then try using HK 150A ESC which has a sensor port as well as HobbyWing has one with a sensor port as well.

Haven't tried it yet but would be nice..

Okp I have the same issue with my controller as well. I never loose connection but it take some time for it to sync. Check the vid. I can't even use the throttle to sync I have to first adjust the trim and them the throttle.

Edit: I just tried what beetboxs did to pull the trigger right after the Intial beep and it worked!! No need to wait and no need to use any triming. Still doesn't explain why if I wait till after the beeps it won't work like normal?

well, maybe it's normal because it is the delay that remote sync with the wii receiver. You could also reflash it if you have an Arduino. I should be getting today or tomorrow a new transmitter. Will post a video.

My sunday's ride even if I didn't push the board to its limit ... was OK with the nunchuck, just few issues when cruising in a small street, but well, power on/off and it was on track. I was running in Slow Acceleration on ESC, so maybe it"s the fault of the MEDIUM acceleration when pushed a bit far (but can't evidence it yet... at least I don't want :))

received my Quanum today, I ordered it by error, cancelled the order in the next minutes .. but Hobbyking customer support is so useless... I should be getting the GT2B in the week.

I confirm that the Quanum with APS 150 Dual does not work, neither sync. The Quanum is pure rubbish. Damn it ! Not possible to sync. WTF!

Interesting. I have two boards running the Quantum and have had no problems. Makes me worry that I may have problems in the future. Did these problems arise or are there problems from the get go?

nice board. what kind of mph and range are you getting in both the custom one and the evolve? in miles...

I have 5 boards running quanums..never have had a problem with any of them..
Everytime I fall they take a beating and come back for more...no problem loosing signal either... They do go through 4 AAA pretty fast though....
I love them...

edit: and the c button comes in super handy for servo aplications like brakes...

I love the quanum too. Especially since now I know that the start wasn't the controllers fault. They take quiet a beating.
Btw beto_pty does your controller run out of juice (aaa) but the light still stays on?

seems I am doing something wrong. I will post a video to show you the sync issue.

@kim: as of today I have not reached the limit in terms of distance. I would say that the DIY is like 30km++ distance and the Carbon Evolve more 40km distance, but it's power management and depends on your area. Both are great board; Evolve is more comfortable due to the board size and more flex (even if it's carbon), other is more agile (small size, DH deck)

well, I finally got it working, don't know why but doing it again and again...

I noticed one thing, the motors are not PERFECTLY synchronized, I mean there may be some slights variations, especially on the brake; both pulley are the same, tension also... and one wheel stop before the other, sometimes when I push the trigger this is also the same.. ... this should not be like this and they should be perfectly synchronized.

There's also a time delay in the startup when pressing the trigger.

Unfortunately, that's the downside to the ESCs that we currently have. They are not synchronized. The same is for all my setups and anyone with these dual ESCs.. They start at separate times. What is a PITA is that one motor will have more power than the other -- which I hate....

Don't get me wrong they are still decent and the cost is justifiable. They also offer higher voltage which is nice as well.
