leaning trike cargo bike front end kit

hodala said:
G2 is a simple type mechanism, guess why I abandon and go on G3 knuckle build

The G3 knuckles road tested quite well as I predicted, rod end in knuckles of G2 applied axial force on Teflon bushing causes tapper friction makes steering a little sticky, G3 solved the problem and this type of kit can put to mass production now

Before road testing the dual caliper tilt lock, I took pictures of what the kit looks like, the upper suspension A arms are not rigid enough to sustain the strain of this type of tilt lock, although it's so compact, the plates and bolts have to increase thickness and sise, it means to increase weight

So I just replaced the dual caliper and bolt on an upper disk and single caliper as before, the front sub frame updated; front wheels moved forward to prevent dual brake applied too much brake that will lift rear wheel

Of course; the geometry of linkages also updated, ignoring the A arms grinding appearance, the manufactory didn't do as I want

We will need to buy also the wheels? Is not possible to source locally the wheels? I am asking this because shipping costs are very expensive due to weight and volume...

If you could get this Dim of recumbent hub, then you don't need wheels

Dear Hodala
I presume your front-end kit is ready for sale and shipping.
How much for the kit and for shipping? Don't forget the currency and I am based in the Netherlands.
May be you'd rather redirect me to an other website or Facebook page?
I have more questions like, provision for fenders/mudguards, the attachment to bottom bracket or down tube and so on
Sincerely yours, Brompting

Sorry! I'm late to reply
Since it's not mass production yet,the air freight package was for a guy who didn't care appearances not perfect, mud guard not prepared yet
The freight from Taiwan to west coast USA is about 260 USD, he spend less than 1k USD with freight included

The picture is for 26" with front suspension bike, modified with my former type parts for some local high school students who need a project but they can't work it out

If you guys don't mind appearance not perfect, I'll sell the kit too, although it takes more manual works

You can give me private messages for questions

I need to know the bike head tube DIM and down tube diameter to order laser cut plates and clamp strap

When you choose a bike to match the kit, make sure head tube ID >32mm so the steer column tube of the kit frame can go through

I drew fixtures between seat tube & top tube, down tube & BB, when you choose a bike to modify to tiling trike with lower top tube for easily cross over, just cut off top and down tube of the complete bike then fix new top tube and down tube to the seat tube and BB of the bike, don't need to do frame welding on a work top; yes you need to disassemble cranks and fix a fixture on BB and new down tube

The fixture consists of laser cut plates and bolts and nuts, it's cheap

I'd sold that 26" modified MTB trike away, and bought another 24" cheap MTB to modify, with the rear disk brake caliper mount and lower up tube to locate cables, I also bought a power kit with 48V 500w hub motor, and ordered 2 battery pack 17Ah will be soon to mount on the trike
