Well i got all the parts in the mail i finished making the motor mount/jackshaft. the throttle and controller all work. Now all i need is a bike, would a cheapo one from walmart be ok? all i care about is that it doesnt break apart while im riding it. Im thinking ill just weld some small pipe to the back triangle and have the motor mount bolt to them so its over the rear wheel and put the batteries in the middle of the big triangle.

Looking good !

Might want to check the local classifieds, or craigslist or even http://www.pinkbike.com

You can often find a quality bike, used, for a fraction of the price of a new one, with better components than the wally-world bikes.. There are alot of bikes that get stored in garages for years unused, owner pays 500 $ on something he plans to use and it ends up sitting there.. to be sold for 100 $.

Somthing with good breaks :) What type of motor is that? Looks beefy.

That's what I've been calling the "transaxle".

The design you are using will do much better than the one I used which places the chain on one side coming from the motor to the "transaxle" and then on the other side of the "transaxle" the second chain goes to the rear wheel.

But still...

I don't understand why you can't use a 114 tooth go cart sprocket on the rear hub and then go direct drive. I didn't know when I built mine that the 114 tooth sprocket even existed and now that I do I hate to see someone repeat (more or less) the same mistake I made.

 Is it too late to reconsider?

Direct drive will work if you think about it... I own that motor... I've ridden that motor for 200 miles... I have spreadsheets that model that motor... seriously, if you can go direct drive you should. (since I was using a regular derailler on mine I really couldn't go direct drive because I needed to use a bicycle chain, but if you use a multi-speed rear hub or even direct drive you could)

They even have 90 tooth scooter chains that could get you where you need to be as far as gearing and skip the "transaxle" and the go kart ideas at the same time.

i wanted to only use 2 sprockets but i couldnt find any that big for a low price, all those parts including the chain and bearings and everything cost less than the cheapest 110-120 tooth sprocket i could find. i didnt look for #35 or #40 sprockets that are 110-120 at the time but i just did and they seem to be about the same price as the #25 ones, if you know a place let me know, the drive sprocket wouldnt really be a problem, id just weld a plain 12 tooth #35 sprocket to the 8mm sprocket that came with my motor and grind its teeth off if i needed.
