Headsets are in stock.

Hi,

I does anyone have any experience with the new typhoon v2?
A pre-built, hassle free 14kW bike might be exactly what I need, as spare time is something I don't have a lot of these days...

Im not really shure what you have asked for, but I´ve testrode a 14kW Bike, I think. At least I had so much fun that I thought it was 14kW lol.

We have a clients from France, UK, Denmark.. You will be first from Belgium :)

This bike come ready to run, right?
I've had my fun tinkering and buiding bikes, but I just want something reliable to commute to work, and have some fun with in my spare time.

I would like to ask some questions, which were not clear to me by looking at the website:

Is there an option for lighting?
Would it be possible to tow an occasional trailer with this bike?
How many watts is the charger?
Is the bike waterproof (rains, washing, etc.)?
How well protected is the controller from offroading? (Water, mud, rocks, ...)
What tires does it come on as standard? (Street tires / off road tires)
How much is the shipping to Belgium?
How long should I expect between ordering and delivering?
On average; how long would the batterypack last?

Thanks,
Wannes

Hi guys,

does anybody tried FOX DHX 5.0 AIR rear shock? Many people tell me that I should rather use some spring shock but for example on NOVAKOLA (www.novakola.cz) they use air shocks without any problem.

I know one guy with almost 120 kilograms riding NOVAKOLA bike with Marzocchi Rocco TST R Air and has no complaints.
But It could be different on a Vector.

Thanks.

That frame geometry lends itself better to use air springs.
I'd stick with coil springs on vector frames, and as a bonus, they're cheaper too.
Only downside is the weight, but, let's be honest, does it matter on a ebike?

I have a chance to buy cheap the DHX 5.0 air so maybe I would like to give it a try.

So, I build a bike without electric and the Rear Shock (Fox DHX 5.0 Air) seems to be not so good. I have bigger sag than I would expect. Shit.

I will try to put more pressure into the shock and will report what happen :)

I wonder how much the chain must be tensioned. If I wanted to connect it, the chain was too loose, so I remove two cells and the chain is very tensioned now. Maybe with a half link chain would be better..or put a tensioner?

Do you have any experience with that?

Thank ya all

I would like to know some of this as well, especially how it fares against rain and washing it

I have told the guy who has mounted my chain that it won´t brake if he build it really tensioned. And it still didn´t broke. So you dont need a tensioner or so. Just trust me and build it together like really tensioned. First the local bicycle guy said its impossible but I said it will work and it did work. Just trust me ;)

Cheers, Elias

Maybe you should listen more to the guys who actually know what they're talking about, instead of thinking you know everything better.
Sure you can mount a chain ultra-tensioned (up to a certain point at least).
It will stretch fairly quickly as a result of said tension.
When your chain is stretched, your cogs and front sprocket will wear accordingly.
Since these are built with tooth spacing of normal chains in mind, they will not fit your stretched chain, which will cause slippage and even more wear.

But, by all means, keep telling people to trust YOUR judgement.

You have asked about my experience, and I have told you mine. So why do you complain about that? It is a really strong chain which can hold the pressure of being really tensioned. Also I have told the guy from the bicycle store to do like I said because the chains of the bike on the webside from Vector are also that tensioned. ALSO: Artur told me that it will fit without any tensioner.

You´re welcome.
Elias :pancake:

Everyone I know said that I won´t be able to mount my Vector by my own. They said I will burn the house by building my own 1.1kWh LiPo battery. What happened? Nothing. To listen to others who think they know better isn´t always the right way. And now I tell you that the chain will fit, so trust me or not, I don´t care. :|

Hey, the Vectorforum has just reached the 20.000 vies.. :O :) Im the 20.000 viewer yey

Wow that was one heck of a climb. What was the battery consumption on the climb?

Where did you shoot this video?
