[strike][/strike]So I am looking for the largest tire I can fit on my new frame: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=83817

I ordered a SCHWALBE Big Apple, RaceGuard RLX Wire Bead Tire in 28x2.35 (60x622) ---- I managed to mount it on the rim and stuck it in the rear frame. NO Joy ... contact against the left side stay (which is in this case the shaft drive). OK ... we need something a bit smaller (it is by the way 2.12 inches wide on the 18mm rim). So I am looking for something along the lines of 700C or 27 or 28 or 29 x 2.0 or 2.1 or 55mm or 50mm. and I run across this for $10.36 with 'Prime' shipping.

Edit: seems maybe Amazon has the wrong pictures https://www.vittoria.com/tire/barzo/ never mind it is a nobby

I say to myself ..."Dang that is cheap for a 700C tire! I must be missing something."
Daddy taught me 'if something sounds to good to be true, then it usually is not true'.
... but at that price ???

Anyone ever heard of this brand?

Vittoria is an old and respected tire maker, no worries about that. They don't get great distribution in the US which is why you haven't heard of them. Yeah, those pics in the listing are wrong.

There's a lot of 28mm road tires out these days, as well as some pushing into the 30's. Gravel tires go from low 30s into the high 40's, some skinny 29er XC race tires are 2.0 or 2.1. What can you fit and what's your budget?

Thanks for the information ... as soon as I figured out it was 'nobby' I lost interest. I only left the post up because I figure it is a great price that someone else might want to take advantage of.

EDIT 14 Oct 2016: Price just dropped to $10.15 with delivery ....
EDIT 15 Oct 2016: Price jumped to to $49.89 with delivery ....

I was looking for wide, low pressure, road tires. I am putting the 29x2.35 (60-622) on the front and ordered a matching SCHWALBE Big Apple RaceGuard RLX: 29x2.0 (50-622) for the rear. I don't like the miss-match but I can live with it. I am really getting tired of trying to guess what the actual tire widths are going be. The only time I have gotten it right the first time was with the Freedom Thickslick tires on my weight-weenie E-bike.
